Chardonnay Charcuterie and Cheese Board

One of the most established food and wine pairings is wine and cheese, but the question is often, what cheese? With what wine? Below is my recipe for a perfect cheeseboard to pair with Chardonnay. The creaminess of the brie I actually melts into every sip of wine, divine! My little secret for arranging? Stick to groups of threes, splitting up your meats, cheeses, preserves and nuts to create a truly balanced board. If you are in the Seattle area, grab yourself a bottle of Eagle Harbor’s Goldfinch - a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier from the boutique winery on Bainbridge Island, and for which this cheese board was created to pair.

  • Brie

  • Calvestrano olives

  • Candied pecans

  • Raspberry apricot preserves

  • Italian salami

  • Crisp crackers

Arrange olives in a small bowl on top of your tray. Provide an additional bowl to the side for pits. Divide salami, crackers, preserves and cheese in threes amongst the board. Fill remaining space with candied pecans. Serve with a cold glass of Chardonnay!
