Spicy Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita

I love cocktails with cucumber. They tend to be fresh, light and crisp, and this spicy margarita is no different. As far as cocktails go, this is a great one to whip up for a cocktail party or Cinco De Mayo celebration because you actually mix all of the ingredients together ahead of time to let the flavors fully blend. The result? A smooth, slightly sweet, slightly spicy, super fresh margarita.

  • Tequila blanco

  • Orange Liqueur

  • Limes

  • Jalapeno

  • Cucumber

  • Agave

  • Fresh mint

  • Fresh cilantro

  • Salt

(*Makes 4 cocktails, adjust accordingly)

  1. Combine ½ cup white tequila, ½ cup fresh squeezed lime juice (roughly 3.5 limes), ¼ cup orange liqueur and ¼ cup agave in a pitcher. Mix well

  2. Peel and slice ½ of a cucumber into circles and add to mixture. Slice 1 jalapeno into circles (leave the seeds for spice) and add to the mixture with several shredded sprigs of mint and cilantro. Mix will, gently pressing cucumbers and jalapeno. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  3. Rim a glass with lime juice, then dip in a plate with salt to rim your glass. Add ice cubes, then gently pour in cocktail through a fine strainer to catch seeds and any solids. Garnish with cucumber and lime.
